Toronto: Day Twenty One

We had a full day in Niagara Falls today. The weather was perfect, the falls were beautiful...



but best of all we met Patti, Thad and their 3 lovely children there.

We have known the King family since 2001 when Abe and Thad were stationed at Ft. Eustis as divers. Back then they were a family of two, much like ourselves. We followed them to AL and were actually neighbors while Thad and Abe went through flight school to fly helicopters. Patti and I became first-time Moms while we lived there. Kearney and Zane are 6 months apart. We haven't seen them since we all left AL in 2004. They now live in Washington but Patti has family near Buffalo. It just so happened that she was here for a visit while we were here for Abe's training. With only a two hour drive between us, we just had to get together.

And we're so glad we did. We had a great visit. It's nice to get together with old friends and feel like you just saw them yesterday. Their kids are beautiful and it was great to see them all so happy and doing well. We're lucky to have such wonderful people in our lives.
