Zane had a playdate today. Victoria and Sheldon are in his gym class that he attends on Tuesday mornings. Victoria is one month younger than Zane and we have known her for about 3 months. Sheldon is three months younger than Zane and they have been in the same class for many months. Sheldon is quite a bit bigger than Zane though. His mom says she gets asked all the time if he is 4. We took the kids down to San Gabriel Park in Georgetown. They played for quite a while on the wooden playground. Then we went over to feed the ducks. They played for a few minutes on the playground near the river. Then we took them around the corner to McDonalds for lunch. And of course, they played on the Playland for a bit there, too. They got in a lot of playing for one morning. I think everyone had a good time and there were no fights to break up. That's the nice thing about field trips- neutral territory!! There are more pictures in the photo collection at right. Of course there are only a few of all 3 of them together, and you can forget about all 3 of them looking at the camera at the same time. They are 2, afterall.

On another note, today marks the 5 month mark since Abe left for Iraq. We are almost at the halfway point, and from what I hear the second half goes by quicker than the first. Let's hope that's true for us. I think it probably will because we have a couple of trips planned later in the summer that will help keep us busy. We are still crossing our fingers that Abe will get to come home for his R&R in May. We should know something within a few days.

Kids having a good time. That's what it's all about. Zane looks taller in the pictures. Glad you had a good time!
Side note: Zane is actually pointing to bugs walking around on the rock. We tried to snap the pics quickly before anyone got bitten. May not have even been the biting kind of bugs. And Victoria was not happy. She was having issues with the ducks.
